People often ask me what it is like to work at Cyril Orchard Group and what makes us different from other consultancies.

For me, the answer has always been the people.

We are a small team, and that is something we are proud of. It means we know each other well, work closely together and genuinely support one another. Everyone has a role to play, everyone contributes and everyone is trusted to make a difference.

I have always believed that the best results come from collaboration. Whether we are working with clients, contractors, consultants or each other, we achieve more when people share ideas, communicate openly and work towards a common goal. That approach is reflected in the way we work as a business every day.

 

What It’s Like to Work Here

Our team members are encouraged to get involved, take responsibility and contribute from day one.

We work together to solve problems, share knowledge and support each other’s development. If someone needs help, there is always somebody willing to offer advice. Equally, if someone has a good idea, we want to hear it.

The collaborative nature of our team means that people gain experience across a wide range of projects and disciplines, learning from one another along the way.

Working on Interesting Projects

One of the things I enjoy most about our work is the variety.

In any given year we might be involved in restoring a listed building, improving school facilities, delivering new homes, refurbishing commercial properties, developing sports facilities or helping a community organisation bring a project to life.

We work across the education, residential, commercial, heritage and public sectors, providing our team with the opportunity to build experience across a diverse range of projects and clients.

Many of our projects have a lasting impact on the people who use them, and that gives our work a real sense of purpose.

As a team, we take pride in helping clients turn ideas into successful outcomes and seeing projects progress from concept through to completion.

 

Developing Our People

Every professional’s career is different, and there is no single route to becoming a successful surveyor.
