Internal Fire Protection Upgrade to Communal Area

Aspen & Westcliff flats were built in the 1970's in the centre of Folkestone and face out onto the English Channel. These buildings required the communal areas to have the fire separating doors to the corridors, rising ducts and flats upgraded to comply with modern fire safety standards.

In addition to this upgrade a complete redecoration was carried out which included substantial re-plastering, new suspended ceilings and emergency lighting throughout the communal areas of both buildings.

This work was carried out while maintaining access for all the flats and included changing of each flats door within the working day to ensure security was maintained.
