Contractor Administrator Services
The project involved the refurbishment and reconfiguration of an existing commercial building to provide enhanced supported school accommodation. The scheme included internal redecoration, upgrade of existing facilities, and improvements to communal areas to better suit the needs of the students and teaching staff.
Working closely with Catch22, we supported the design development and produced a clear and coordinated Schedule of Works, enabling a competitive tender process. Our role also included ensuring that the works were carried out efficiently within a tight programme, with minimal disruption to neighbouring properties.
Our Role
As Contract Administrator, we managed the project from tender through to completion. This included:
• Preparing a Schedule of Works and full tender package
• Managing the tender process and analysing returns
• Issuing a detailed Tender Report with contractor recommendations
• Preparing and executing Contract documentation
• Chairing the Pre-Start Meeting and issuing relevant instructions
• Undertaking regular site inspections and preparing monthly valuations
• Agreeing the Final Account
Our hands-on approach helped ensure the scheme was delivered in line with the Client's quality expectations, within the constraints of a short construction programme.
