Contract Administrator and Quantity Surveying Services
St. Peter House, a former Ipswich Registry Office, was selected by Catch22 to be transformed into a specialist education facility for primary-aged pupils requiring additional support beyond a mainstream setting. The building comprises two sections and spans approximately 600m², leased for five years.
Our Role
As appointed Contract Administrator and Quantity Surveyor, our responsibilities included:
• Reviewing tender returns and issuing a detailed Tender Report with recommendations
• Preparing, issuing, and executing contract documentation
• Chairing the Pre-Start Meeting and managing early-stage build instructions
• Conducting up to three scheduled site visits during the anticipated five-week construction period, with interim work valuations and final account settlement
Additionally, our work supported the building’s adaptive reuse into an inclusive learning environment, aligning with Catch22’s educational mission and operational objectives.
Post-Completion Use & Impact
Following refurbishment, the site is set to operate as Include Primary School Ipswich, providing specialist primary education for children with additional learning needs. The school will be supported by a dedicated team of staff and will remain in use for the duration of the lease.
