East and North Elevation Refurbishment Works
Building Surveying Services
We were appointed to oversee the refurbishment of the East and North Elevations of a residential building. The scheme included roof repairs to the tiled pitched roof, render repairs, tile hanging repairs and replacements, and the installation of new double-glazed galvanised steel frame windows. Existing timber sash windows were replaced with modern uPVC double-glazed units, and all external timber joinery and rendered walls were redecorated. The works were designed to address both immediate maintenance requirements and long-term performance, ensuring the property is protected and preserved for future use.
Our Role
As appointed Building Surveyors, our responsibilities included:
• Carrying out initial condition surveys and defect analysis
• Preparing a detailed specification and Schedule of Works
• Managing the competitive tender process and advising on contractor appointment
• Administering the building contract and issuing instructions
• Undertaking regular site inspections and monitoring workmanship
• Certifying payments and agreeing the Final Account
Our Building Surveying input ensured the works were carefully specified, competitively procured, and delivered to a high standard, providing the Client with confidence in both quality and value.
