Cyril Orchard Group were employed as quantity surveyors and projects managers for the construction of a new clubhouse to replace the existing clubhouse where facilities had become inadequate to cater for the current membership.
A new clubhouse was designed to provide a modern building providing larger, updated accommodation which would attract further playing members and provide larger function facilities.
The building was designed to use natural light to its full potential by having a large glazed frontage facing west over the golf course. This allows the membership to view the setting sun as it goes down behind the golf course.
Cyril Orchard Group acted as quantity surveyors and project managers overseeing the construction of the building to completion.
Hadley Park House Hotel

The work at Hadley Park House Hotel comprised the construction of a two storey all en-suite ten bed block linked to the existing 18th Century hotel by a single storey function suite.
The existing toilets inside the hotel were altered extensively to provide high quality facilities including full disabled access. Additional car parking areas were constructed.
The contract was the JCT Intermediate form with Contractor’s Design Element. The total construction cost was slightly in excess of £1 million.

We have been involved with over 20 refurbishment projects providing both residential and commercial facilities within existing structures.
The Creative Foundation have been fundamental in redevelopment of these run-down areas of Folkestone.

Cyril Orchard Group was commissioned by the client to act as project managers and CDM co-ordinators for this project with large input on the buildings design. Services included obtaining statutory permissions monitoring project finances with regular valuations and ensuring a smooth handover upon completion.
The ground floor shop was specifically fitted out for a local tattoo artist including clean environment, disabled access and additional hygiene equipment. The high ceiling to the rear of the shop creates a dramatic setting for further genre of artistry in the creative quarter.
The first floor studio is an airy yet functional space with kitchenette an W.C facilities and a stunning view over Mill Bay.
The second floor flat includes substantial kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a wealth of storage not to mention the iconic spiral stair which leads to the living room above.
The third floor living room was constructed to provide a light, open living space with panoramic views of Folkestone Harbour. The habitable room gives the flat a unique and flexible living arrangement to be enjoyed by future tenants.

PROJECT: Fit out of an Ground Floor Commercial Space to Provide a New Restaurant & Kitchen

Cyril Orchard Group was commissioned along with Paul Young Restaurant Interiors to fit out the ground floor of a building to form the new Deal branch of the Hythe Bay Restaurant chain.
Cyril Orchard Group acted as quantity surveyors on the project overseeing payments to the contractor as well as organising the kitchen fit out and installation of the new mains services. The main restaurant was carried out by Paul Young Restaurant Interiors.
The restaurant fit out required extract/intake fans and duct work and Cyril Orchard Group applied for planning consent for external grills/alterations that were required for this installation. We also organised the applications and installation of the gas/electric mains and meters required to serve the new restaurant and kitchen.
